Amongst his friends and colleagues, Roarke is generally known as either "Mr Motivator" or "Zebedee on drugs" - he is always full of energy and gives the impression of being a source of power just waiting to be unleased.
Thirty-seven years old, Roarke has been married for 13 years to Ann. Together they have three boys - Joshua, aged 10, Samuel, aged 8 and William who is 4, who are all educated at home. Their house is always full of noise, and energy - and often the children seem more "grown up" than their parents! Roarke says:
"I wouldn't know what to do with a quiet child, and we've always encouraged the boys to be expressive."
His personal background is somewhat colourful and has given him a deep well of experiences from which he draws when talking to people. No matter what their age, social bracket, or history is, he is able to relate to them, and to be relatable to.
Roarke's career has been as full as his personal life. He comes from a Sales Repping and Sales Management background - starting on the markets and ending up as MD of his own successful SME. He says:
"I was one of the chasing after my tail type, working every hour God sent, trying to juggle me, my family, friends, career, spirituality et al.
I kept thinking that one day I would end up dropping one, or all, of the balls. I knew there had to be more than that."
After several years of searching he realised that he was not the only one thinking like that, and he set up Be Extraordinary to help others discover the fact that they can live Extraordinarily.
His Christian faith provides the cornerstone to everything that he does, and is what drives him to reach out to people. Roarke has been preaching regularly at churches ever since becoming a Christian some 15 years ago, combining his love of the Bible with his skill at motivating others.
His personal interests includes a love of acting, and over the years he has spent time with a number of local Theatre Companies, touring troupes, operatic societies and Christian production companies. He also successfully Project Managed the creation of a local community radio station in Orpington, UK, in 1992, with many radio hours experience as a DJ.
Roarke is a member of Toastmasters International, and is available for preaching engagements, Christian motivational events, sales seminars, workshops, and after dinner speaking.
